Clean, friendly and very well appointed. I recently enjoyed a weeks stay at this hotel and could not have asked for anything more. A restful establishment that I would like to recommend to all. Great food and a friendly bar. More

If you are booked here when visiting the MOD sites in the area you will get an adequate room, basic breakfast and a convenient location with no frills. The rooms are basic, a bed chair and desk with a bathroom. It has been redecorated recently but the bedding and curtains have not been replaced. If you want a quiet room... More

Have stayed on business a couple of times now. My experience of hotels in this area has been that they are either over priced or not very good. The Red House Hotel is well priced and in a convenient location off the A303. Rooms are very clean and spacious with comfortable double beds and whilst you can get a bit... More

As the title suggests I have been here before. It was late 2008 or early 2009. This time, whilst the rooms are not the most plush and modern, the hotel is well run, clean, calm, comfortable, with good staff and a restaurant that is good. A short review but accurate nonetheless. Recommendation ? Yes - for business travellers, ornithologists, walkers... More

Like others I have been booked into this hotel. It is lower priced than many others in the area. Rooms are basic, no hair dryers but you need to ask at reception for a hair dryer. The gravel car park is difficult to wheel a suitcase over - not fun after a long drive, in the rain, in the dark.... More

Thank you for your positive comments. The provision of ice scrapers and de-icing liquid is much appreciated by our guests particularly those who arrive with hire cars.. We have consulted the RSPB regarding the rooks in our trees to one side of our extensive gardens and woods, unfortunately there is no solution apart from the suggestion of chopping down the... More

I passed through this location for one night. My room was fine. Nothing memorably good or bad. Breakfast was fine. I did not have dinner at the hotel, I ate at a local foody pub called the Boat. Although this place calls itself a hotel it is pretty much a good motel. It is, literally, just off the A303 near... More

I have stayed at the Red House hotel a few times with work, mainly in 2006 / 2007. Booking and check-in were efficient, rooms were clean, comfortable, quiet and contained all the usual ammenities. Room rate is ok for the area. Convenient location, in a pleasant area. My only real complaint is with the food. The cooked breakfasts were on... More

Accommodation was booked through the central hotel booking service contracted to my profession. The hotel was easy to find, just off the main transit route Andover - Salisbury. The car park was ok, though difficult to pull a large suitcase across the large pebbled area. Check in was swift. Room very basic, but had everything you needed; that said, the... More

Stayed at the Hotel through Army booking system, I had a room upstairs at the back do not accept this at all costs which were very high!! the widows were gruby old and dirty with a collection of flies at the ready. The carpets stained beds as described before looked something out of a youth hostel with a duvet that... More

These comments along with your demand for a free of charge upgrade have been dealt with by the Ministry od Defence booking agency. I am very surprised that you found the need to repaet these unfounded allegations against our hotel repeated here. More
