A few steps from the Cathedral, the Parador itself is a monument. The reception is very kindly. The rooms are very comfortable and “different”, our room had a balcony inside. Stayed here for 2 nights in March 2011. Excellent location right across from the Monastery. Clean, comfortable, quiet rooms. Beautiful courtyard with tables and chairs under shady orange trees heavy with fruit. Professional, friendly staff - all very patient with my hesitant Spanish. I would definitely stay here again. Only two buildings of note in Gaudalupe and one of them is the Parador. A fifteenth century hospital. Our room had a very tall ceiling which was interesting and in typical old style with both a sofa and two armchairs. Stayed here for two nights in September. The Parador is a 15th Century Palace near the small but lovely Plaza Mayor and the Convent. Rooms are nice and clean.
