I went with my partner and her parents to Chateau de la verie and found it to be pleasant. The owners and staff are nice, the grounds are nice, the swimming pool is nice but very cold. Tennis courts on site with racquet hire. Breakfast was good, but we decided not to eat in the restaurant. Recommended. More

Chateau de la Verie is a beautiful chateau outside the uninteresting town of Challans, 30 mins from Nantes. If you go there, go there for the chateau as this is not the most interesting part of France.
