Well, we read the reviews and were very afraid, since we were forced to book out of budget/availability. We were pleasantly surprised by a not-dangerous neighborhood, nice reception and relatively easy access to downtown Paris. If tight on money, it's a good choice. It's not a five-star hotel, but it's way better than a hostel for about the same money.
