This lovely hotel in Cap-Ferret is every bit worth the splurge, and I highly recommend it as a place not to be missed during your stay in the Arcachon bassin area. The amazing freshly caught oysters alone justify going there! And don't miss the outstanding petit dejeuner served in the hotel's lovely garden courtyard. So go ahead and splurge -... More

Nice, laid back and stylish hotel. Small but nice rooms. Great breakfast and dinner. Nice terrace and bar for a drink in the evening. Good location. I would definitely come back here if I would be in Cap Ferret again. More

My wife and I ate last weekend at La Maison du Bassin, having been recommended by close friends who are regulars. Food was delicious, menu varied and creative, and very well presented. Waiters a tad youngish but full of enthusiasm. A special feature was the dessert buffet, one could have put on an extra kilogram or two on repeat visit.... More

We cannot recommend this hotel high enough - faultless service, beautiful decor, persistently wonderful food and wine. Cap Ferret itself is a dream. Everything about the hotel, the location is effortlessly chic and totally relaxing. If you want obviouos bling, a spa, pool etc (which is fine in the right place) then this won't be the right destination. More

It's a gem to which we love to return regularly. Especial because our dogs are welcomed too. And the food in its restaurant is very good. This hotel has also a bar in which I think a lot of local people meet eachother. It's a fun place. And it's also in walking distance to the center and to the bassin. More

We stayed for one night in an annex room, which I was thankful to get after reading others' reviews about the noise issues with lodging over the bar/restaurant - as they've noted, there are no noise issues in annex rooms. The room and bath were spartan, yet spacious and well maintained (ours had a small private patio). Parking was easy... More

Beautiful interior designed with lots of memorabilia from the colonial days, but all seemed abit pretend, would have preferred if the hotel had its own story or a personality. Staff friendly and nice, though no clear figure head which might have shaped the personality of the place. More

We had booked a room in the annex, not the main building itself, based on the reviews given. The room was spacious and wel equipped. The additional advantage was the balcony, which allowed us to sit outside during the warmest period of the afternoon. The hotel is located on the edge of the city, so from there it was not... More

Sometimes you just need to get away from television, radio and the rest. This place is a perfect romantic hideaway, but judging from the previous reviews, I imagine you have to stay in the annexe to avoid the noise of the busy bar and restaurant (which are both amazing). The level of English is limited, but I like that and... More

Firstly the hotel is a bit hard to find, best way to guide you is that it is about 100 yards from the south east corner of the lighthouse enclosure. You will see what I mean when you get there. Approaching the hotel the entry is gorgeous. bar and restaurant surrounded by palms and flowering plants, the whicker chairs the wooden... More
