I found The Hotel le Midi to be typical of how the very best of the French two Star hotels used to be. Inexpensive (40 eros for Band B), spotlessly clean good sized room and bathroom, charming host, no frills, and a good continental breakfast. Beat my last stay at a nearby Ibis hotel for more than double the money...
