This was a friendly hotel, the owner and staff were a joy to talk to and poke good English. Stayed in the block opposite the main hotel which was more like a travel lodge in its style, free use of the sauna and very secure. The lack of Tea or Coffee facilities in the rooms was a let down but... More

“Well maintained antique hotel. Few mod cons”

If it's a trip back in time you want, this is the place. Single bed rooms, real steel keys you leave at reception (which is rarely attended), food and wine your German grandmother used to enjoy.  There is even a prominently placed wood carving of Christ crucified in the lobby, to remind us not to sin. “a little pricey given the small town location, but nice enough”

It's a fine hotel, but given it's location in small town Donzdorf, I would have expected to pay less. That being said, Sam the propetier was very nice and breakfast was perfect. The bar was lively and Miriam and the rest of the staff were great. More
