Myself and my partner stayed at Gisborough Hall for one night for our anniversary, in April. I'd visited previously for a conference, and thought it looked like a lovely place to stay. I was right! We paid £168 for a beautiful room in the old part of the hotel, with a bath in the middle of the room! The price... More

We went here for a Bridge holiday and were very impressed! The standard of the accommodation was very good. We were in the, more modern, Woodland wing though this fitted well with the traditional nature of the hotel. The hotel staff, without exception, were excellent and could not have been more obliging. The restaurant coped well with the needs of... More

Wanted to be near Whitby and discovered this on the way there. Lovely hotel in spectacular grounds, and central for visits along the North East coast. Beautiful meal in restaurant and great breakfast! Staff were all very polite, efficient and friendly. Will stay there again on our next trip North. More

First the downside, me and my wife went away for a relaxing wekend, first impression was fantastic, booked into a classic room which was nice but during evening time there was a wedding on and the disco was very loud but at the time of booking the weekend we never got told about weddings as if we knew we probably... I have stayed in many hotels in my life and I can honestly say that Gisborough Hall ticks all the boxes. The location is fantastic. The rooms are impeccable and if you are lucky to get a feature room in the main house then that's a real treat and worth the extra money. However, even the rooms in the annexe... More

Different to the hotels we would normally stay in, we tend to go for modern but this was like walking into another time and we loved it. The room we had was in the woodlands wing and quite a walk but worth it. All the staff in the hotel were helpful and friendly, and our room was clean and welcoming.... More

Have stayed at this hotel for several years and seen a steady improvement. Rooms are always a good size and very clean with spacious bathrooms. The restaurant has been refurbished to a high standard and the food is always nice with plenty of choice. Good value for money if you go for a DBB deal. Breakfast is great too. One... More

We have visited Gisborough Hall many times, and it goes from strength to strength. The rooms from the standard ones in the Woodlands Wing to the executive and feature rooms in the main part of the house, are very comfortable, with flat screen TV's, comfy beds, tea and coffee making facilities, bathrooms with bath and shower in the standard rooms.... The first thing that struck me about the hotel is that they have maintained some of the original decor. This was a lovely change from the generic contemporary designs which so many of these mid range country house hotels seem to have opted for. This is not to say that the hotel looks dated or run down; quite the contrary.... More
