I have to say when I first saw the menu I wasn't overly keen, and I thought it was a touch over priced. The first night I ordered Chicken with Stilton sauce & veg - it was much better than expected and therefore we went again two days later, both ordered cod and chips, big portions but definitely worth ordering.... Stayed accross the road at the Eiders, decided after a long day to to nip over the road for a pint and food.Firstly this is not really a pub, only six tables in the bar area, the restaruant was full so we had to eat in the bar area. The staff were friendly and the beer was good. Now the bad points, the menu was... More

This is located on the main route between Sheringham and Cromer. Car parking at the front of the building and a large car park at the rear, accessed from the side road, where we parked and entered the building via the garden and terrace. There is a large bar area and lounge with comfortable seating and direct access to the... More

Good location for a quick stop. Nice beer, knowledgeable staff. Wonderful location and decor. Nice selection of local ales and food. Strongly reccomend the Adnams. Drove by and fancied a beer and some advice on the local area. Staff were keen to help. Happy days.

Dined here following a recommendation in the visitors book in our holiday accommodation. It was a cold wet night so the dining room was almost empty which did not add to the atmosphere. The service was good but the food, roast beef, was so-so & the desserts were too expensive. Overall not bad but not great.

The food in this hotel is superb, freshly prepared and a very well set out menu. The bar also services a good range of wine and real ale. My wife and I where staying nearby, but were very disappointed that the bar area was not dog friendly, which meant we had to travel further afield to eat in the evening.

My Fiancee and I found this place while on holiday by chance as the pub we were going to was closed that evening. Well what a real gem of a place it was to very friendly girl behind the bar who was more than happy to take our food order; What struck us was a nice selection of real ale... More

The Roman Camp is not a gastro-pub although, like most places round here it charges gastro-pub prices. The food portions are generous and well cooked and the creme brulee is the best I have had in years! It is very traditional and a tad old fashioned especially if you choose to eat in the restaurant.. We have eaten in the... More

The pub inside is pretty charming, the area next to huge fireplace is very relaxing, the gardens look unique and would look nice in summer no doubt! They do have a different food choice deal each day at the moment which is good. The food itself is not bad and not brilliant. It is mostly homemade , even the scampi... More
