Had an amazing two night stay here while visiting family. Stuart was very welcoming and made us feel at home immediately. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and fantastically decorated with a comfortable bed which we found it very difficult to get out of. The food was well cooked and plenty for even the heartiest appetite. There was an excellent... More

Just returned after a wonderful weekend staying at North Lodge and would certainly recommend going there. The rooms are spacious, warm and comfortable. So much so I didn't wish to get up each morning and probably wouldn't have except for the tantalizing smells coming from the kitchen. The cooked breakfast is plentiful and delicious with everything you could possibly desire... More

North Lodge is an excellent base for exploring this unspoilt corner of Scotland. Situated just north of the border with England, this area is rich in wildlife and is an ideal place to unwind. We have visited North Lodge on several occasions, the latest being at the end of April 2012. The main house has two double bedrooms, both ensuite,... More

We have just returned from North Lodge. Excellent stay, up to date and very clean, we all had a good nights sleep. The best host ever we have come across at a B&B. Could not do enough for us and gave good advise on places to visit in the local area. We will definitely return again. We would highly recomend... More

We've just returned from a wedding in Gretna and stayed at the North Lodge with my elderly mother on the 26th November. The two rooms were spotless, a lovely warm welcome and the best nights sleep I've had in a long time staying away. We couldn't fault the place, both myself and my wife will probably go back there next... More

I stayed at some excellent Hotels, B&B's, Ski huts and Chalets all over Europe; but this little treasure is by far the best. Is it the nice big, clean rooms and bathrooms? Is it the relaxed, plentiful and wholesome breakfast? Or maybe the tea, coffee and cakes on arrival? For us it was all of these things, plus all the... More

After deciding to have a quiet and romantic wedding at Gretna Register Office, we found North Lodge online, seeing imiges of "The Cabin" agreed to book this very reasonably priced accomodation for a week. There was a warm and friendly welcome from Stuart & Joanne on arrival. The Cabin itself was clean, tidy, warm and tastefully decorated & fitted out, with the porch overlooking... More

Stayed at North Lodge whilst working in the area and found it to be the most reasonably priced bed and breakfast. First impressions were excellent and the standard of rooms and service could not be faulted at all. Friendly service throughout and a very impressive breakfast would certainly mean that I would stay here again. More
