Stayed for two nights at Easter, and had a great time. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was awesome, huge portions! I can recommend the steak pie 100%! The room was comfortable and warm, and very quiet, which was wonderful. Local area is lovely too, plenty nice walks and loads to see, very old fashioned feel to the... More

Our small team would like to thank you for your review. Since taking over in October 2011 we have been struggling to get rid of the terrible reviews from the previous incumbents. Thank you again. More

I had been travelling back from down south, I was cold, wet and knackered the lovely warm fire and warm welcome soon had mee feeling at home. The food was fantastic, I was boring and had the fish and chips. The fish was huge and lots of chips and tasted great. The room was lovely, clean and warm. All the... More

Thank you for your review, however I do feel it was quite unfair. It was indeed getting cold, however none of the guests asked for the heating to be put on, in fact I remember having a joke with one of your party at how cold it is in Ireland, and the guest said how hardened they were to it.... After a tiring trip it was lovely to receive a genuinely warm welcome. Our rooms were very clean and likeable. We had a pleasant, relaxed evening and slept well before a hearty breakfast. Whilst not perhaps the most sophisticated this was exactly what was needed as an overnight stop on a long journey and we will certainly use it again. More

We enjoyed our overnight stay at this cosy village inn. From the initial contact, when I booked the hotel to when we left we found the landlord and his wife to be most helpful and pleasant. Our bedroom was comfortable and clean. The bed was most comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious supper- my son recommends the mixed grill! Would definitely... More

I have stayed at this hotel before, mainly because of the price, location and I could take my dog. There is certainly a noticeable difference since the change in ownership, the new owners are always available to assist, so when you ask for something, chances are you are asking the owner and not the hired help, which made me feel... My partner and I stayed at this hotel on Saturday the 15th May. On arrival we were met at a locked door by the chef who then checked us in and pointed us in the general direction of the room. The hall was dark and the light switch did not work. We struggled to unlock our room door. We were... More

We stayed here on our way to Kintyre and again a week later on our way home again. Our breakfasts and a carvery dinner were fine, the room was comfortable but the great thing was that our two retrievers could sleep on their mats in our bedroom instead of in the back of their Land Rover. We had the same... More
