After a short flight, we landed in the small but not crowed airport, where waiting for us was our own private chauffeured car. It’s an hour and half journey to the village, which is pleasant on the traffic free roads with some beautiful scenery to watch pass by. Once we reached the supermarket at the bottom of the hill, we... More

What a fantastic place! We stayed here as a group of 6 in February and had a brilliant time. The accomodation was brand new, spacious, cosy, tastfully decorated and very well equipped. All the cabins are set amongst a beautiful alpine forest and the fjords are a short stroll away. We enjoyed a spot of cross country skiing, dog sledding... More

Travelled to Norway in April and stayed at Risor Holiday Village for 5 nigths after booking a deal on Groupon. Was the perfect place to relax in beautiful scenery and be as active or docile as you please. The accomodation was lovely - very cosy with nice warm duvets and blankets and all the neccessities for a self catering holiday... More

Hi, thanks for a great review! the feedback about the activities is very useful. With kayaking the groups are kept deliberately small with one guide, and the length of the trip is dependent on conditions, which can make it seem expensive compared to other activities. We try to make all activities good value for money. More

Loved it! Chalets were gorgeous. Scenery amazing. Activities fantastic! Loved the horse riding and the canoeing. The owners David and Tony could't have been more accomodating and welcoming. I would recommend this holiday to anyone. Just wished we could have stayed longer! More

The accommodation was excellent very clean and roomy. Stayed there with four other girls and we had a real good time. Went on the sea fishing trip and the dog sledging. The cabins were in a woodland that was very peaceful and relaxing. Save and andy who took you on the trips were very knowledgeable and patient. We were picked... More

Excellent accommodation set in beautiful surroundings. General self catering accommodation normally has the bare minimum when it comes to utensils etc and equipment, but at Risor holiday village the cabins come with plentiful and quality cooking appliances and utensils, washer/drying machine, underfloor heating in the bathroom, plenty of furniture, good outside furniture to dine outdoors, excellent tv equipment with english channels... Just back from a week here, with a few days on my own before being joined by a couple of friends. It's a great place to be as active or as lazy as you like - the stylish cabins lend themselve to lazing around with a hot chocolate and a good book, but the call of the amazing scenery is... More

4 of us stayed here in January this year. It's a great place. Lovely wooden chalets, with 4 bedrooms each with twin beds. Really comfy and warm. There's just one bathroom so if 8 sharing you'd have to be prepared for that, but don't let it put you off. It's a great place. Just on the edge of a fjord,... More

Even the lack of snow in Risor didn't dampen our stay at this resort. We planned on a quiet pre-Christmas couples stay, as it was out of season, & we got it. The lodges were impressive, very clean, warm & had everything we needed for self-catering. The people running it were more than happy to help with anything & let... More

Just returned from a weekend break at the Risor holiday village, arrived late on a Friday night and we were met by one of the guys who brought us a welcome pack of tea / coffee/ milk and sugar, this was most welcoming, we experienced the same as the other reviews concerning the property (excellent), It snowed on the Saturday...
