An overnight stay to allow us to attend a local event......this meant we arrived very late but were treated to great hospitality...even a plate of cheese to go with our own bottle of wine ! We live in a very quiet village, so are conscious of noise....it was tranquil and thus we had a great nights sleep. Up early the... more

We stayed at The School House for 2 nights for a short walking holiday. It sits just outside the village in a quiet spot, with fabulous views down Swaledale. It has been decorated to a high standard, with some gorgeous fabrics. We stayed in the front room so were able to see the sunrise over the hills. There were fresh... more

The School House has probably one of the best views in the Dales, looking down the Swale valley, yet being in easy walking daistance of Reeth village. The owners, Peter and Janice, are incredibly welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. Breakfasts are fantastic, served in their beautiful dining room, in fact the whole house is stylishly furnished,... more

A table had been booked for us at an excellent local restaurant and we were invited to help ourselves to a glass of sherry before setting off. Breakfast the next morning... more

We stayed four nights at this B&B in order to sample some of the beautiful walks around Reeth. This property is exceptional in its decor and immaculately maintained. The hospitality received from Peter (his wife was away visiting relatives) was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he catered for our every need. The views from the hotel... more

We recently stayed at The School House, a new B&B in Reeth. It's the former headmaster's house next door to the primary school and restored with the utmost care in 2007. There are only 2 en-suite rooms, a twin and a double. The place is spacious and simply beautiful with the most elegant and comfortable furnishings for a B&B we... more
