We traveled with Brittany Ferries from the UK and couldn't have asked for a better short trip...Two nights on the Ferry and four nights in Hotel del Osso....The rooms were comfortable attractive and clean...The staff were all polite and helpful...They even helped with our Spanish which was limited...The food was lovely...The portions large...but sharing one portion for two and having... more

Just spent 2 nights at Hotel del Oso. It is a cute hotel (ask for room 209, 210, 211, 212 or 213 as they have terraces with mountain views) with a fantastic staff and great breakfast for 10 euros, plus tax. Someone wrote Hotel del Oso was Heaven on Earth. I could not agree more. The location might seem strange since it is on the side of the road, however the only thing you will hear during your stay are the birds, the cattle moving to the fields and the stream flowing by the hotel! We visited Hotel del Oso for two days in April. First, the Picos di Europa are astonishingly beautiful. The hotel is on a dead-end road in a beautiful mountain valley by a lovely river. This is a well appointed hotel en route to Fuente De. It is is the village of Cosgaya which doesn't have much else in it apart from other hotels. The main building has an annex across the main road. We stayed at the Hotel Del Oso for three nights on a Brittany Ferries break and found it excellent. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and encouraged our poor attempts at speaking Spanish (though they also spoke some English). We have just returned from our 4th visit to the lovely Hotel del Oso at Cosgaya between Potes and Fuente De. The hotel is really beautiful, well maintained with friendly & professional staff who have been there for many years.
