My partner and I stayed here for a short break away as we do every 3 months, we have grown very fond of the cotswolds especially this area and have stayed in most of the hotels in the area now! The place is beautiful and beautifully presented, our room was huge with the biggest bed we have ever stayed in... More

Visited this hotel to see what its like now its taken over and run by the Brownswords. As a regular at some of their other establishments it seems they have put a firm ethos into place and quality oozed from the greeting to a great afternoon tea served impeccably. Good to see Gidliegh trained staff in charge and this hotel... More

We first stayed here for our honeymoon 26 years ago and it was brilliant then, so we went back with trepidation in case it didn't live up to our expectations, but we had the most wonderful experience. Perhaps because we were celebrating an anniversary and a birthday, our room was upgraded to the most fabulous suite, called Valentine. Not only... More

A gorgeous hotel in a beautiful English village. The perfect retreat from the city. We stayed in one of the suites and it was well worth it. Great food and hospitality too. Try the pub down the road. Great place for a vino in front of the fire.

Stayed here for a two night mid week break in a junior suite. From the moment we arrived the service in all areas was exemplary. There is a feeling of visiting a country house as opposed to a hotel. The staff are courteous, knowledgeable and able to deliver first class attention without being intrusive. The room was large and bright... More

We recently stayed for the weekend. The room was lovely and the welcome when we arrived made us feel at home straightaway. Yes, it is expensive but it's worth it - you have to treat yourself sometimes. Excellent location. Would have given excellent but for a very minor thing. The Italian bloke behind the bar was great too - give... More

This hotel is in an idyllic setting - quite tucked away in a peaceful location. Our suite in the annex was absolutely wonderful. Amazing bathroom - very generous l'occitane toiletries. Best suite ever! The restaurant served a very good evening meal - expensive but delicious. Breakfast was very good as well. There is a sister hotel across the road which... More
