We stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful area where there are so many lovely villages and places to visit. We were welcmed by a very nice receptionist who was friendly and efficient. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge. We had to climb a great many stairs to get to our room which would be impossible... More

Overall, my husband and I had an enjoyable stay at Lower Slaughter Manor. The room was spacious (Junior Suite) although not entirely to my taste. On our trip we had stayed at a couple of boutique hotels that really "nailed" the historic building with modern quirky interiors but this didn't quite do it, it was all a little dated. The... More

Firstly I have to say both the hotel building and the surrounding area is gorgeous. The room was small but very nice though I was very taken aback by no tea/coffee making facilities in the room - yes, they would provide a complimentary hot drink in the morning but I like to relax in my room before bed with a... A surprise trip to the Cotswolds, Lower Slaughter Manor is an exquisite site as you turn into the drive, a stunning country hotel. The service is excellent and the staff are very professional but perhaps could drop a tiny bit of their ultra-professional exterior so it felt just a little more friendly. Our room on the top floor was big,... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, and for your kind comments about your recent stay. As for the less than perfect areas you have given us some great pointers which we will be sure to get on and address. We really hope to welcome you back before too long. More

Beautiful house in a picturesque village in a sophisticated genteel county. As an itinerant visitor for dinner only I was struck by how much it has changed. A French Chateau decor theme chimes with the architectural style of the main house. Very much a matter of taste. Footballers would like it. Service is charming if a little over subservient -... More

It took me ages to pick a hotel for our Cotswolds weekend break, but I was glad that I finally chose Lower Slaughter Manor. The location has to be one of the best in the area - right in the middle of the pretty village of Lower Slaughter, yet set well-back from the road. The building is stunning too, both... More

When we got a Dog, we thought, that's the end of our stays in nice hotels. Although we have a Dog, we do not like doggy smells, especially if staying in a luxury hotel. We booked for 3 night and wanted a ground floor room for the dog, but we're advised only 2 night were available because the middle night... More

We stayed for two nights over Easter, the service standards were excellent with all the hotel staff being both friendly and attentive. The room, a junior suite on the 1st floor called Kate, was excellent with plenty of square footage and views over the front gardens. My only negative comment would be that a walk in shower would be a... More

When we arrived were greeted with help with luggage at the front door before i had even turned off the engine! The welcome at reception was excellent. We had a standard room which was rather small but clean and recently renovated. The only moan was that the designer of the room and bathroom had not realised you need to plug... More
