My wife and I spent almost a week in the Loire Valley in August of 2011. The hotel was our base for daily excursions to visit many of the famous chateau of the Loire Valley. The staff was excellent, each staff person we encountered spoke English but was also accommodating to our attempts to practice our French. The staff was... More

At least one day in the Val de Loire should include the ‘dream team’ of Domaine de Beauvois - to dine and sleep - and a visit to Chenonceau, to indulge in some romantic château viewing. This combo surely cannot be surpassed anywhere for style, beauty and sheer elegance. The hotel, Domaine de Beauvois, stands in the village of Luynes,... More

We stayed at the hotel for 3 days for our honeymoon. We love the hotel location as it is far away from everything what we prefer. Quite, nice rooms, may be a little bit small, Staff was excellent. But there was nobody to carry our luggages, the receptionist asked us to help but she was a woman so I did... More

The room was clean but worn. The service was good but... the meal in the restaurant was not gourmet. We had much better in other places in France. The bikes were not in good repair. We had to search the bikes to find two usable ones. The trails were rutted and full of logs and brush. Not safe. It was quiet,... More

A bit out of the way, but we enjoyed our stay. Nice, spacious rooms. Go to Boulangerie Pâtisserie at 16 de la République in Luynes. More

Very beautiful location, but after we'd been at a nicer place in the Loire for a couple of nights (for the same price), we found the hotel "tired". Dinner was good, but not fabulous. Restaurant was cavernous. Staff was excellent, though. More

I hate to not speak well of places on trips that I take but I know this is why you are reading this so I will tell it like I saw it. You have to know up front that the location of this hotel is way out of the way, most of the Chateau's that you would want to see... More

Searched the net for a weekend retreat that I could take my girlfriend to for her birthday and found this gem. We arrived late on the Thursday as our boat to St Malo was late. Showed to our lovely room by smiling conceirge at midnight. Awoke to a truly delightful sound of a water feature trickling away in the stunning... More

It is the restaurant that makes this hotel special. While the hotel is charming and has plenty of history, it is not the best country hotel we have stayed in, but the food is out of this world! If planning on visiting the Loire Valley this is well worth a visit. Staff are welcoming and friendly and if you like... More

The pictures make the place look gorgeous, but it's actually quite spooky inside and the rooms feel extremely old. The one good thing is the shower and bathrooms are great and clean, the bad thing is the bed which is really important when you're on vacation. The pillows were the biggest turn off, the pillows were the thinnest I've EVER... More
