It was a good experience to stay in a Capsule Hotel that was very Japanese in its feel. The capsule was also not as bad as I expected it to be. However, this is good to experience for probably just one night as I did but not for one's whole stay in Japan.

do yourself a favout and stay away from this capsule hotel, or any other capsule hotel for that mattar. One thing this hotel does not tell you is that there is a curfew on all guests, and once you entered the hotel after a certain hour at nogth you cannot get out again until the morning. Maybe it suits the... More

I had a spare night in Tokyo and decided to give a capsule hotel a go. Some of the reviews here already mention a bit of a "prison inmate" experience. I completely agree. It all has a very 'rank and file' feel to it. It's a very Japanese experience, but to be honest I reckon there'd be better Capsule hotels... More

A real cultural insight to stay here but if you're tall it's pretty uncomfortable in the capsule. It's a nightmare to find from the directions they provide, I fear some of the detail may have been lost in translation - sort your route before you get there. It's right in the middle of the red light district as well so... More

I stayed for a night at this hotel, wanting to try out the unique capsule experience after hearing about it from websites and friends. Logically it certainly isn't a traveller's first choice but it had a mystical, mysterious feel to it in spite of its obvious physical restrictions. My first impression was that the hotel was rather old; it had... More

A friend and I were visiting Japan for a week and I really wanted to try this unique style of accomodation. I had never been to Japan before, and stayed here my first night, so as far as culture shocks go, it should have been a big one. The location is very convenient, a short walk from the JR Shinjuku... I stayed here for one night in October 2012 Staying here seemed to consist of an orderly set of rituals. First, check in your shoes. Then, present the key of the shoe locker to the front desk, who exchange this for a locker key wristband, a set of pyjamas, and a manual of instructions printed in English. Previous reviews are... Going to Tokyo for the first time, the one thing I was really psyched about was going to the much fabled capsule experience. Having seen it on TV and travel channels, I was really expecting it to be quite and experience. Unfortunately, what I found out was not only was the capsule uncomfortable (too small for me, even though I... More

Small "Cupsle" room with 24hours open restaurant, relaxation massage and huge bathroom. Located in busiest Shinjuku district and this facility is also packed with folks.

I had a 14 hours layover at Narita, and I didn't really want to spend the night on the airport bench nor over US200 for a night at an airport hotel. The idea of an capsule hotel sounded really tempting for me that time. From Narita airport, you can take the train to Shinjuku, and the capsule hotel is just... More
