Tokyo is expensive and I was able to get into The Granbell for under $200 a night over a holiday weekend in a premier room, and now having been there, I would consider that a great value. The hotel itself is on a small street in a neighborhood packed with restaurants, bakeries, and convenience stores, so if you need a... More

Stayed here over the new year holiday. Location is very good, convenient to subway, and you can find various things you need in the area. Staff was helpful and spoke good English. We were warned ahead of time the room would be quite small, but we were told it was a double room. Perhaps it was, but it was truly... More

I was looking for a safe, convenient, and well appointed hotel in the heart of Tokyo for a quick weekend trip - the Granbell Hotel was perfect. Room was very clean, had everything i needed for a quick weekend getaway, and the staff were amazing. the street and surrounding area is on the quieter side (more of a business/financial area),... The hotel is in a great location right by the subway and was not too hard to find, even late at night coming straight from the airport. The night receptionist spoke great english since I speak no Japanese, that was helpful! The room was very tiny; it only fit a bed for one, a desk, and chair, but it had... More

This hotel is located near the Tokyo metro stop of Akasaka-Mitsuke, which is only a few minutes on the subway from Roppongi, Shibuya, and other high-end neighbourhoods. It's a three-minute walk from the metro to the hotel, and there are many decent bar and restaurant choices in the area. I found the service to be excellent and helpful. As others... More

We go to Tokyo once a year ( to see my family who lives in a different city) from UK and stayed in Akasaka Granbell after trying out a few different hotels. It is in very convenient location, close to a tube station and you can go pretty much every where with minimum line changes from this station, and is... More

Stayed at this hotel recently and i have never stayed anywhere so odd. We arrived a a few hours before check in after over 16 hours of travelling. We were told we would not get the room for another 2 hours. They then said we had only booked a single room and only requested an early check in room and... More

Stayed 6 nights at the Akasaka Granbell Hotel in a Premier Double room. The hotel is a boutique hotel that is centrally located in Akasaka and within steps of two Metro stations (Akasaka and Akasaka-mitsuke) that can get one basically anywhere in Tokyo. The hotel feels new, is clean and has pleasant service. The interior hallways are dark and reminds... More

The Akasaka Granbell in Tokyo is a gem of a hotel in a great location. This is Tokyo after all. Lets get real! Fantastic value for money for the price you pay. Yes rooms are small but the hotel did not promise otherwise. The single room I had was well laid out. Each detail carefully pondered over – the Japanese... More

We stayed at the Granbell visiting Tokyo for a week on vacation. The hotel is just behind the Akasaka Mitsuke station, with metro lines to Shinjuku, Shibuya and Ginza running from there. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Pretty cool rooms (small, but this is Tokyo) and hotel facilities, at a great rate. Highly recommend! More
