We arrived late on a cold night and our room in the Stables block was very cold but the warm welcome and personal service made up for that . The food was good but rather expensive but breakfasts were first class . All in all recommended if you're not looking for modern frills

We loved this place. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. The hotel is friendly and welcoming, exactly what you would expect from a family-run concern. We had a team building experience in Cumbria. Our company chose Crosby Lodge. I will keep it brief as that is all it needs to be. The setting was a classic Grade 2 listed building. Decor was clean and well suited to the building. The welcome was warm and friendly and both the service and food was excellent.

We chose Crosby Lodge as a base for visiting parts of Hadrian's Wall and I am so glad that we did. The hotel was charming and the owners and staff couldn't have been more helpful. It was a delight to stay there.
