The hotel is close to the outer walls of the town so is really easy to get luggage to and from as cars are not allowed into the town. The hotel is in a converted house and has kept some of the original features while providing a modern spacious hotel room. Internet connection was very slow. The town was deserted,... More

We had two rooms - each different but both were clean, modern and had great bathrooms. The showers were so nice - walk-in showers (no need to step in and out of a tub) with spa quality bath products. Large, sheet sized towels kept on a warm rack. The room was so quiet - and dark - we slept very... More

Firstly the good points: The bathrooms are to die for - They are spacious, modern and 5 star standard with huge and powerful showers. The furnishings are high... More

We checked out the parador as the top level option, next hostal las coronas as the cheap option, but finally chose el peiron. For 2 adults and 2 children the first asked 220 euros (superior room, kids on extendable sofa-bed), the second 65 euros for a very basic but clean twin room (kids on our camping mattresses) while el peiron... El Peiron was not listed on tripadvisor and we had such a lovely stay, I was compelled to ensure a review was posted. First of all, the hotel itself is quite beautiful. From the exposed sandstone walls, to the classical music that warms the hallways, to the little sitting room at the front entrance, the building is quite enchanting. The... More
