Given to us as a Christmas present, and booked through Groupon. We arrived here with the usual worries about what to expect. It was a very cold day, -7 degrees outside, but lovely and warm inside. Very pleasant welcome. We were in room 21, lovely and quiet, loads of hot bath water in the evening and morning, didn't try the... More

We stayed overnight in December. We were meeting family locally so didn't use the restuarant for a meal. Our room was really lovely with a large bed and leaded bay window overlooking the garden. The breakfast was good. All the staff were friendly in particular the breakfast waitress. The building was full of character with some historical pieces of displayed.... More

We stayed for one Sat night with friends, having booked through Travelzoo. We arrived mid afternoon & were greeted warmly & given a full brief about meal timings, etc. The afternoon tea was served in the bar area - & has improved from previous reviews on here; a nice variety of sandwiches and scones. The restaurant area was very pleasant... More

Travel Zoo offer so was very pleased with the discounted deal. Very large room in the eaves but was spoilt by noise from heating pipes and may be water tanks. Cream tea offer was very disappointing may be better if they didn't bother, not fresh baked scones nor clotted cream. However evening meal was very good and the staff very... More

Booking-in was easy and the room was clean, spacious and pleasant. The bathroom was a little cold, but it wasn't an issue. We overlooked the side of the hotel, so had a quiet and comfortable nights sleep. We had a meal in the restaurant one of the evenings and could not fault the food or the service, the breakfasts were... More

Reasonable hotel, nice situation. In need of refurbishment in the public areas. The corridor to the restaurant suffers from peeling wallpaper and is in need of fresh paint. The staff were attentive and efficient. Bar would benefit from a decent real ale, bottled or pump. I was pleasantly surprised by the willingness of the chef to cater 'off menu' for... More

Comfortable rooms, good food, good service & friendly staff. We have stayed here a few times for family parties in the function room. It makes a great base for visits to Lincolnsire and its many attractions including the nearby Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby, the Dam Busters Memorial in Woodhall Spa, and Tattershall Castle. Thoroughly chilled out Xmas break enjoyed by a mature couple seeking peace! The food was great and the price fantastic value for money for a three nights break. The lighting was a bit dark in the bedroom and the dining room - but very comfortable. King size bed, 42 inch plasma screen, lovely and clean, tea and coffee etc....everything you... More

On 23/12/11, I drove in the dark to Woodhall for a 70's themed murder mystery. As I drove up the drive, the imposing and beautiful Woodhall was lit perfectly. Staff were helpful, the food was great and best of all the murder mystery was very entertaining. The people at our table had been to a previous murder mystery and had... More
