A friend of mine and I made the Old Inn our base while mountaineering on Skye for a week. Our rooms were adequate for our purposes and gave each of us privacy in a quiet atmosphere. The pub in the Inn was great. Good pub food and beer. Great and helpful staff. Great, hearty breakfasts to start each day. It... More

Stayed there a few times now. It pays to book ahead for accommodation as it can get busy and booked up. The food has always been very good, with a good selection of local ales. The staff are welcoming and very helpful. There is no EE phone signal in the local area and a staff member gave me the phone... More

This place was recommended to us by the fabulous Peatbog Faeries Had a lovely meal here on the last day of our visit to the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the staff were very friendly as well. It was a shame that we couldn't stay for the free music.

Stayed here while visiting family living nearby. Excellent base for seeing the island with great views of the Cuillin Mountains and overlooking the sea. Helped that the weather was excellent so the Cuillins looked spectactular with snow caps and the sun shining on them. The rooms are comfortable although fairly basic but ideal for a base to go sight-seeing. Food... More

Stayed here with some friends last year, the food was fresh and local although there was not much decent priced pub grub that you would expect from an highland inn. the bar staff where ok, could do with more chat with customers at times as seemed to be just interested in accommodating the locals. The room was clean enough, not to... More

Whilst staying in Glenelg we always have a few trips over to Skye. We popped into the Inn for Sunday lunch. We had a lovely home cooked 3 course Sunday lunch for £9. Very impressive. We will certainly return when we are up on Skye again in May.

Friendly locals, friendly staff. Great back lounge room. Tasty pub food. On Friday nights there's live traditional music. on Sundays there's a 3 course roast dinner for under a tenner - very good value.

We ended up in her after being at the Talisker distillery. We only stopped for lunch and were not to sure of what to expect. As it turned out the food was of better quality that the famed Stein Inn, the staff were far friendlier and the atmosphere in general more friendly. I would thoroughly recommend the place for food... This is a very good place to stay at reasonable cost - the rooms are cosy and comfortable with plenty of toilets/showers and a drying room for all those wet clothes and boots, and everything is spotlessly clean. There is a large, well-equipped kitchen with comfortable seating if you want to self-cater, but the Inn serves very good food at... More
