A very beautiful place and a great breakfast. You will find everything you need in your room even a television and lots of books for rainy days. The rooms are very nice and offer a lot of space. Lets face it there are hundreds of B&B's that you could stay in on Skye but none of them even come close to the top quality surroundings and hospitality that Chris and Elaine have to offer at the Phoenix House. We stayed in the Phoenix house while visiting Scotland, and the B&B and Carbost were one of the good surprises of the trip. the village of carbost is small but welcoming and has of course the added attraction of the taliskar distillery. it makes a perfect central location to tour the island by car. the couple who run this b&b are friendly and laid back and very attentive when breakfast comes but don't trouble you other than that. the rooms are very well... more
