This pub/hotel had lovely rooms, helpful staff, plenty of parking, a fab fried breakfast and was in a great location. It was our base for two days of exporing the Hadrian's Wall countryside - and although it is about 20 minutes drive to the main touristy sites, Corbridge has the bonus of being a lovely village full of cute shops... The 'sheaf is a great place, and Del and Linda really take pride in what they do. My family and I stayed here for my wedding in Corbridge, and renting out every room in the place was fantastic. It was like we had the place to ourselves for several days, and the service was perfect. We didn't drink a lot... More

We were visiting Hexham races with friends and stayed 2 nights at the Wheatsheaf. The rooms were very stylish with quality furnishings and a lovely comfi bed. The food was fab we had breakfast and a dinner ( the porridge was 2nd to none). Del and his satff were very friendly and could not do enough for us. We had... More

Hidden in Corbridge, the Wheatsheaf serves good food, great for a stopping off resting spot. We went on a Saturday, it does get very busy, however, you can get a table quite easily. Not your average pub lunch as it is slightly more expensive, than most other pubs. The food is very good, service great & staff nice and friendly.... More

We stayed the night here en route to a family wedding yesterday, and what a find the Wheatsheaf is. Relaxed, with warm and friendly staff, our rooms (we booked a twin and a double) were both lovely - spacious and clean, very comfortable beds, and with everything we needed. Sadly we could not be there for the Sunday Carvery, which... More

On a bleak snow covered Sunday what could be better than a large tasty carvery in a pleasant dining room with outlook up the Tyne Valley with an offering of a more than adequate smaller portion to leave room for a tempting hot pudding swimming in hot custard? Such we found in the Wheatsheaf Hotel in Corbridge. The choice today was... More

I stay all over the uk when on business so have experienced everything from awful to brilliant, and must say this place sits towards the top of the list, especially when you consider how reasonable the rates are. Very pleasant staff, clean and modern room with comfy beds and a decent size TV so would not hesitate to recommend The... More

The hotel is in the centre of Corbridge, so walking distance to all the other places you may wish to visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We sat in the bar downstairs in the afternoon, early evening before going out. Had a few drinks. its quite relaxed and a locals place, which is lovely. We stayed here one... More
