A charming old style country hotel..right down to the creaky floors. Warm and cosy with modern luxuries. A wonderful respite after a long journey. The views over the loch are breathtaking. More

Great old style Scottish hotel with roaring open fires. Top quality food, rooms overlooking the loch. Would stay again. More

We have been suggested to stay in this hotel by our Austrian travel agent. The Knipoch Hotel is a small country hotel which also locally has a good reputation, as all Scots we have talked to about it, praised its quality. Situated a few miles south of Oban near a calm loch (seawater), there are some attractions nearby (Kilmartin Museum,... More

All the troubles of the world seem very far away at Knipoch, a rather stylish hotel a little way out of Oban, with a beautiful view over Loch Feochan. The general style of the public areas could be described as "modestly baronial". It appealed to me, as did joint owner Kamma Craig who was welcoming and charming. We had a... More

We arrived at the Knipoch Hotel by way of default as we had reserved 4 nights at another hotel in the locality. However when we checked in to that hotel it wasn't anything like how it had been portrayed on the internet & therefore we didn't stay. Our initial disappointment turned in to absolute joy when we found the Knipoch... More

Perfect situation, facing a lovely loch. We stayed here 1 night as part of a group of 15 couples on a classic car tour of Scotland, and wished we could have stayed longer! Rooms were fine and dinner was excellent, even for such a large group, and we would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone. More

I stayed at Knipoch with my fiancee for a long bank holiday weekend, and by all accounts we had a wonderful short break. Oban is certainly beautiful, and this hotel just a very short drive from the town is an equally attractive place to stay in. The room was spacious and nicely furnished, with a lovely view of the loch... More

A very good stay with a good family room (very large) and superb lounges. Slightly limited choice on menu for evening meal but excellent quality food and well stocked bar. Staff very friendly and willing to help. More

Stunning views, helpful staff and delicious food made our stay wonderful. Going back again for a winter break to wallow in the gorgeous leather chairs by one of their many roaring fires. Best selection of single malts I have ever seen. More
