A surprise celebration weekend at this marvellous hotel was all that we could have imagined. Cooperation all the way with our party of 21 aged from 0 to 88 was exceptional, to mark the occasion with the perfect facilities and food that the hotel provides More

Excellent welcome, very good service and faultless food for a 40th wedding anniversary - rooms are very clean and well appointed - the whole experience at the Mill was excellent and we are very happy to recommend. We were looking for a very special weekend and we got exactly that!k More

The Mill is one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed. My boyfriend surprised me and it was magical. The whole place is so taken care off, special and unique. The people and lovely, the rooms are exquisite and the food was delicious! I cannot wait to come back! More

Arrived for a one night stay in early December. The atmosphere is really chilled and homely. After being shown to our room we just chilled in the bar reading the papers whilst a few locals came in for drinks. Dinner was nice but choice a bit limited and eaten better elsewhere. Nothin wrong with it at all but have had... More

We came to spend a weekend in the New Forest, mushrooming (the legal kind). Initially we looked at Limewood but were put off by the high prices, then checked Tripadvisor, and saw much better value The Mill close to our hunt. No brainer! Terrific welcome, great restaurant, real country home feel, but without any shabbiness. Worth its reputation and ratings.... More

We had a lovely night at the mill we enjoyed it so much that we actually went back for lunch a few days later! The prices are reasonable unless you order 4 fillet steaks... Worth every penny but they arent cheap. Excellent staff had a very nice atmosphere, the gardens are also very interesting! Cant fault the food at all... More

We were at The Mill for dinner recently with friends, and cannot praise our experience enough. From having a drink at the cosy bar, when we were served complimentary nibbles, to our choice of set menu in the beautiful candlelit dining room, everything was perfect. The food was excellent and very good value, and the service first class, friendly and... More

We have just returned from a very relaxing few days at the Mill. We are first time visitors and were very impressed with the rooms, we stayed in the suite, with views over the mill pond and also to the front of the hotel. The room was very well decorated and equipped, though more hangars would not have gone amiss.... More

What a wonderful place! We stayed one night and had dinner and enjoyed every minute. Although not cheap it was worth it for a truly memorable stay. Our room, Avon Water, was beautifully done out and very comfortable. Dinner was superb and the staff here are the most pleasant and helpful we have come across in a long time. The... More

We were initially surprised by the closeness to a busy road (which is quiet at night!) but our room (3) was dual aspect and very peaceful overlooking the gardens. The gardens are delightful too. Food excellent, particularly the goats cheese souffle! Our bed was very comfortable and there were plug points everywhere and very good lighting. Shower good but oddly... More
