This was our base of operations for a two week exploration of Provence, and it met our expectations in every way. Our apartment was compact, comfortable, and charming with a great little balcony overlooking the vineyards and Mont Ventoux. All of our day trips seem to be within an easy hour drive of the village of Jonquieres--Arles, Vaison de Romaine,... More

Dear S.L. You have been very prompt to writing this great review. Merci beaucoup ! You are perfectly right mentioning how well located is our Mas in the center of Provence... Most interesting spots are at less than one hour drive and some of them only a few minutes ! The advantage of our rooms is that they are equipped... More

If you want to experience Provence to the fullest, Mas du Clos de l'Escarrat is the place to stay! The historic inn is picturesque - surrounded by vineyards with a nicely attended yard. After staying in hotels with smallish rooms for a week, it was a treat to be able to have the space to move about in the very... More

Glad to read that K and G are back home in Charlotte, NC. Thank you for your excellent review about your stay at le Mas du Clos de l'Escarrat. You have been accommodated in our largest unit "Mistral". A beautiful and comfortable suite. To be frank, our other apartments are smaller but still very cosy... quote "We arrived as strangers... Stayed for a week inlate Sept/early October and were charmed. A little hard to find - the road entrance is beside a little works yard and is easily overlooked- make sure you have your GPS coordinates (not address) plugged in and instructions in hand when you go the first time! While we were there we met other very nice couples... More

Thank you very much, W and P for your excellent review. Regarding your comment concerning the fact that our place is "a little hard to find", I agree... But if you make sure to print the instructions which I'm always sending with the booking confirmation, and moreover, if you type "Mas du Clos de l'Escarrat" on GoogleMaps, then it's impossible... We drove here for long weekend from Switzerland. We loved our stay here and will go back some day! The B&B itself is very peacefully located next to a long vineyard, very private and calm. Perfect for a romantic weekend or simply to relax with friends. It has a nice swimming pool and large garden. The rooms have a balcony,... More

Many thanks for your nice review. Regarding your comment "the only thing I didn’t like about my room was that it didn’t have enough natural light." I must say that this has been done on purpose as the 2 studios have their main door (full glass window) looking to East. And the roof is exposed to the South. We have... More

An ideal location, close to Avignon, the Ardeche and the coast (and quiet garden with sheltered pool). Quiet, clean, comfortable room with a balcony overlooking vines and le Mont Ventoux on the horizon. Our week passed too quickly!

Dear British guest... We are very pleased to read you because most of our English speaking guests are North American or Australians. So it's very important for your compatriots to read a review written by an objective and very fair British couple that we have been delighted to host. Merci beaucoup ! More

We enjoyed comfortable rooms decorated with personal touches, personal patios and kitchens for each unit, a pool surrounded by foliage, breakfast in the garden accompanied by the music of the cigale crickets of Provence, and warm, multilingual hosts who provided excellent council about the regional sites. I must admit though a bit embarrassed to comment it as the owner of le Mas du CLos de l'Escarrat, that this place is indeed very romantic : secluded in the middle of the vines with a breathtaking view over le Mont Ventoux (a famous Tour de France biking mountain), a shadowy garden and a great relaxing pool with salt...
