I think the last reviewer did have a point when they said that the hotel is slightly stuck in the past. It probably was a luxury 4 or 5 star hotel at one time, but it has modernised the communal areas recently when the bedroom also need some TLC. Although e don't stay in Port de Pollenca when we're on Majorca we nearly always make a trip to the Illa D'or for a lunch on the spectacular terrace by the water. The food is excellent, the portions more than generous and the location wonderful. Well worth splashing out a bit if you're nearby. More
