I stayed in Hotel Fattoria Medicea - Residenza del Granduca for a “Rotary” convention so I didn’t sleep but I only have lunch and a coffee break. The hotel is an old farm renovated very well and it’s nice the terrace where you can see a wonderful Tuscan country. We have lunch in the old barn of the farm with... More

We had a lovely stay at the Residenza del Grandluca over easter. The location is not what I would call traditional Tuscany as although the pictures make it seem seculded it is actually in a built up area. Nonetheless, the hotel staff were etremely accomodating and friendly despite only one person being fluent in English! I would recommend this hotel... More

I went to Monsummano Terme for a long weekend with my children. I found myself extremely well due to a series of advantages that the great location of the hotel made possible. Even though my staying was not very long my days were extremely full but at the same time relaxing. I succeeded in conceding time to my children and... More

We arrived on a Friday until Sunday. Arriving by cab the hotel said restaurant on site so figured we would have lunch on arrival. Restaurant is only open certain nights and for breakfast but they were very kind and set up an antipasta platter and some wine for all 4 of us. The rooms were suites very clean and charming... More

The building is very impressive with lovely grounds....but atmosphere is somewhat lacking. They were good when, having given a twin instead of double room, they put us in what must have been the largest hotel room I've ever had (as such it felt sparsely furnished). Trouble in the bathroom though as the shower didn't drain properly and so flooded into... More

We choosed this hotel at booking.com site and never regreted. For a 4 stars hotel it was really cheap regarding the competition around. The room for 3 was really big, two beds downstairs and a double bed on the second floor. Yes, the room was separated in two floor! The room contains safe, refrigerator and TV with only italian channels,... More

My girlfriend and I chose the "Residenzia del Granduca", because on map it looked like an ideal starting point and center location for our halfway spontaneous summer stay in Northern Tuscany 2008, as well as it seemed to have a ridiculously good value (70€ for a double-room a night including breakfast) and an enchanting website appearance. And unlike many other... More

I loved the Granducia. I wanted somewhere totally quiet to read, relax and get a quiet nights sleep, and this hotel was perfect. It was a 15 minute walk to the small town square, with a few places to eat. The hotel wasn't doing dinners or lunch when I stayed, though breakfast was plentyful with ham, cheese, yoghurt, that german... More

We stayed in Residenza del Granduca for one night in may 2008. It was a Medici farmhouse converted in an Hotel. Outside the property is very nice, but inside nothing special! From their web site you will expect more! The breakfast in the morning was very poor! It was more a continental breakfast than a buffet breakfast!! The room was... More
