Really enjoyed our stay at Agriturismo Podere Saliciaia. Beautiful grounds, spotless room, and excellent location -- about half an hour drive (or less) from each of Florence, Lucca, and Pisa. If you have a car and are in NW Tuscany - stay here instead of a dark and dingy hotel in Florence/Pisa at twice the price (or more). Enjoyed the pool, and staff very friendly and helpful. They also served us an outstanding multi-course dinner for 30 E each (including house wine). Don't pass up on the opportunity to have dinner while staying at Podere Saliciaia! Parking is free and A/C is in room, but weather was so cool and refreshing (in late August!) that we didn't even use it. more
