We’d come to walk through the gorge of Alhama in December and had seen the exuberant reviews of La Seguiriya here, but nothing prepared us for what we found. Our host, Paco Moyano, a well-known flamenco singer for many years, and his family renovated this 1745 partial-cave building on the edge of the tajos, or gorge, in about 2000, and... More

My sister and I had the pleasure of staying with Paco and Lola in September. They were both so welcoming. The accommodation is charming, with a stunning terrace overlooking the gorge. Lola's cooking is wonderful and Paco is a real character, going above and beyond the call of duty, and making sure that our trip is one we'll never forget.... More

Great little hotel if a little difficult to locate at first. Enter from the street into cosy dining area and then onto a terrace with spectacular views over a gorge to the mountains. You could eat and drink out here. Our room was off the terrace and was very clean and comfortable, the shower was excellent. The menu is small... More

Hotel with lots of rustic charm. Arrived in the middle of summer and found the room cool and comfortable (no air-con). As with many rustic hotels in high areas it could be cold in winter. Very clean and comfortable. Great food and superb views from the private restaurant terrace. Fantastic location for walks and relaxing with some wine on the... More

In the hot month of July 2010 we had a great week at la Seguiriya. We arrived in the evening, and were welcomed with one of Lola's perfect dinners and Paco's generous and warm hospitality. The stunning view could really only be fully appreciated next morning, when the gorge of Alhama river basked in the morning sun. Each day started... More

I'm sure that if you stayed in this hotel in their one big room and in the summer months that it would be lovely. However, we stayed here in January, when the big room was (supposedly) already occupied (we never saw the people who were in there). Our room was very small, the bed was small and uncomfortable, there was... More

I can add little if anything to the adulation given by the previous reviewers! Paco and Lola are wonderful hosts, and Lola is a wonderful cook. The rooms are individually decorated and clean, the meals are superb, and the terrace over looking the gorge is fantastic. We stayed there with friends ( 2 other couples) for 4 nights and all... We stayed here for 3 nights in early April and were totally smitten. The hotel is tiny (6 rooms) and has a view to die for over the Tajo canyon. Our room was beautifully clean, spacious and had a private terrace with two sunbeds and the same wonderful view. Paco, the owner, and his wife Lola couldn't be more friendly... More

We've just returned from Spain where we spent 2 nights at La Seguiriya. Everything about our stay there was fantastic..Paco the owner has to be the most helpful and friendly I've ever come across. He showed us the best walking routes through the gorge, answered all our questions about the area and was a great host. The room was clean... More
