I had stayed at The Kariwak Village for a few days whilst passing through the Island some years ago, but this time made it my base for 2 weeks (Jan. 19 through Feb. 2). I am mid 40's woman, traveling alone and looking for a rejuvenating, restful holiday, with peace and quiet. From the moment I arrived to the very... More

i have been to kariwak at least 5 times in the past three years both with freinds and my spouse. The service is great the rooms are cleaned. The food is exceptional and the entertainment on a friday and saturday night is really good. We love the hammocks at this place! More

How does one adequately describe the Kariwak Village Hotel. This was my first visit to Trinidad and Tobago, as part of a quasi-business trip. I checked out many of the lodging options on line and was particularly struck by the the disconnect between the “price per night” on the island of Tobago, and the uneven reviews of these expensive properties... I visited Kariwak Hotel on an Offical weekend which lasted for three days (Fri- Sun). I was pleased and my family was also. We enjoyed the meals and the setting which was very Tropical along with the courtesy of the Staff which was exemplary. It is a Hotel that I would always want to visit and that certainly would be... Stayed for one week, and it lived up to its expectations! Great location in tropical garden, extraordinary good food and breakfast! Beds great and big big extra plus for good reading lamps!!! This is often lacking in hotels and is then taking down the overall experience. Also good lights outside the terrace at nights - great!!! Loved to sit there... More

Barking dogs bleating goats kept us awake, then awakened us during the time we should have been able to sleep... 2 AM & 6 AM most of the 7 days we stayed. This was not our first stay, but may have been our last. With ear plugs it would have been a help. More

I just returned from a mini vacation in Tobago and my husband and I decided to stay at Kariwak again. I must commend the fact that the hotel maintains its excellent standards in its cuisine. The buffet nights were great- the sumptious salads, the great food and ambience. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The grounds are so... More

A friend and I stayed at Kariwak for four days. The general environment is warm, welcoming and asthetically pleasing (lots of green, pool, plunge pool, hammocks and birds). The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely fantastic (herb and veggie garden out in the back). My friend and I got stuck in a thunderstorm after checking out... More

My wife, her sister and her daughter and my 4 kids stayed here near the end of August 2011. I was a little lost as to where reception was but was greeted with a helpful smile and directed to the Front Desk. Once checked in we were shown out rooms by a very friendly young lady. My wife had booked... More
