A hotel set in tranquil surroundings with magnificent Scottish views. Staff were very welcoming and attententive , even through a failure in the power system leaving us with a truely candle lit start to our evening meal. Room was clean, comfortable and well decorated. Very good leisure facilties to work off the excellent food. The only down part was the... more

Staff was great always, food better than Cameron House. Allows obnoxious golf people in, and prefers them over regular clients, probably will not be back again, because of that, but if your a golfer go for your life, your balls are lost, manager tried hard, but been to the stonefield it does not lace their boots. more

Having read the reviews I decided to give this hotel the benefit of the doubt - mistake! As you will read elsewhere the hotel is built on a hillside, this however does not prepare your for the steep staircases to reach what appears to be a cheap 1970's horror at the back. Cheap because the people in the room above... more

It is clear that we experienced a number of issues with regards to the power supply over the weekend, Scottish Power have been working all week to restore a permanent supply and a Generator was sourced by lunch time that day, though we since had a number of issues with the Generator. I believe it unfair to comment on the...

I have just arrived home after extending my stay at the Gleddoch Hotel. My daughter held her wedding reception at the hotel and all the comments have been nothing but positive. We had booked 40 rooms for the event and not one person had any complaints about anything. The staff bent over backwards to be both pleasant and punctual in... more

**Because of unexpected personal circumstances, we checked out of the hotel 2 nights early. At reception, we were told that was not a problem. Because we had booked through an agency, it was pre-paid. Reception told us to contact the agency, and they would be able to refund our 2 nights through them. We promptly did this, and were advised... more

I am sorry that we were unable to refund the cost of your stay due to you having to leave early and can only apologise if you were given the impression this was possible. The rate you booked was a prepaid advanced purchase rate £54B&B I believe and paid to a third party agent. This is a special rate and...

We stayed for 3 nights and used the hotel as a base for visiting Glasgow and Mull of Kintyre, the hotel was what you would expect for a 3 Star grade. LOCATION:Great location for exploring the area, in an elevated position with great views over the golf course. ROOMS:Were comfortable, the only criticism were tiny factors that could be easily... more

Gleddoch has some great views from its hillside position but these dont make-up for the poor presentation and service. There is a large impressive reception room for check-in complete with piano, however from there things begin to slide, some rooms are far away from reception with 2/3 stairways (the hotel sits on a hill), my room was large with a... more

I am sorry you experienced some cleanliness and maintenance issues in your bathroom. These will be addressed by our in house maintenance team, likewise the service issues you experienced in the restaurant. Incidentally, the Wi-Fi is free to all guests and has been for some time and a minimum standard for all Best Western Properties so unsure why you were...

We stayed at this hotel for our 22nd wedding anniversary and had a really lovely time.ARRIVAL... On arrival we were met by not one but two very friendly and approachable members of staff who were quick to welcome us. We were given our room number and clear instructions on how to find it. The receptionist also asked us if we... more

Booked 1 night's accommodation for my husband's birthday. Didn't last the night. Extremely disappointed with the whole experience. Definitely not 4* accommodation as stated on Bookings.com.. Lack of staff and staff they had were very inexperienced, chaos in the bar/restaurant which was located at the back of the hotel. Dining area and bar area very shabby and no character what... more

I am sorry that you were disappointed following your recent visit to Gleddoch. It is unfortunate that you decided not to stay with us as you would have realised we have both the golf bar and the residents lounge available for guests to make use of. I accept that the Golf bar was extremely busy when you arrived but can...
