I stayed at the Littleton Arms for 1 night whilst on business in the area. First impressions were good - an attractive looking building with a reasonable size car park. Check-in was excellent; very friendly and attentive staff. My room was clean, tidy and well appointed - but more on this later. There is free WiFi which is quite fast... More

Stayed here for one night and if I'm in the Stafford area in the future, would have no hesitation in staying here again. Food was well above average and some good local ales on at the bar too. Maybe a couple more choices of cereals/juices at breakfast would be good and perhaps some of the available fruit could be made... More

We stayed here in June 2011 for one night to break our journey between Scotland and Wiltshire. One can leave the M6 at junction 13 and rejoin it at junction 12 or vice versa. Although the hotel was on a main road, our room at the back was very quiet indeed. The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean as... More

Stayed one night, room OK, bit stuffy, slightly tired furniture, bed very close to walls, but it is an old coach house. However, was woken at 6AM on the Saturday morning by the noise of the class recycling lorry emptying all the glass into the lorry. Not a good start, breakfast was good, the staff were very friendly, but would... More

I read the reviews before heading out for a friends 40th and most of the negative comments were accurate. The starters were good (bread and olives etc) but out of a group of 10 only 3 people enjoyed their mains (they had Bombay Chicken, steak, and Hamburger). As reported elsewhere, the Ravioli is not good (4 undercooked and tasteless ravioli... More

Found through late rooms website and booked 2 rooms direct - great communication. Also booked a table in restrurant and so pleased we did after a long day at Alton Towers, as food was lovely, fantastic staff who we're polite and really looked after us and good old lively pub atmosphere. Would certainly stay again when visiting Staffordshire. More

Stayed here for 1 night with my husband in room 3. Things we liked: The bar/restaurant staff are welcoming and friendly. The food in the restaurant was enjoyable. Great sharing mezze starter. The room was large, clean and well fairly equipped (iron and ironing board, tea/coffee making facilities) Good choice of breakfast dishes. Free wifi Things we didn't: Furnishings seemed... More

We stayed here over the bank holiday as it was near the venue for a friend's wedding and had been suggested as a place to stay. For the price (£65 a night for bed and breakfast in a king size deluxe room) the accommodation was very good. The bedroom and bathroom were both absolutely huge, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean.... More

we arrived at the pub to a friendly smile at the bar and showed to our table by a polite waitress. After looking at the tempting range of food on the menu ,i plumped for the chicken with sauteed gnocchi. To cut it short the chicken was overcooked and dry the gnocchi was burnt and inedible and the assortment of... More
