Rather small and calm hotel. If you are expecting some fun you will be dissapointed. The localisation is ok, wonderful view but far away from Funchal and "real life". You can stay at hotel or go for a walk to small town (not very interesting) and that's all. When you want to go to a trip, it always takes you about one hour because Sao Vicente is far from everything worth seeing.
Rooms are ok. Clean, rather small, nothing special. Just normal.
Staff is very nice and helpful but a little sad.
I found the pool too small for all guest. It was full all the time and it was a little tired to spend time in the water with so many people, arm to arm.
Food was ok. Not very delicius except soups. The soups were really wonderful. No frutti di mare and too much eggs (in different forms and when I came back I felt like a chicken).
