We spent 3 weeks in the UK and No. 1 Springfield was by far the most welcoming B&B we stayed in during our meandering 1900 mile trip from London to the Isle of Skye and back to London. Christine and Richard provided a wealth of information not only for the surrounding area, but also for our trip into Scotland. We... More

Perfect weekend away in a beautiful B&B. Hosts were so lovely and attentive and served the most delicious cakes and tea upon arrival. Beautifully decorated rooms with complimentary drinks and chocolates! Quality bedding and very comfortable bed. The breakfasts were delicious and set you up for the day and the lovely additional touch of a fruit platter was gratefully received.... More

Reading the other comments regarding No1 we find it difficult to say more than has already been said. Christine and Richard are wonderful hosts and our room ( St Aidan ) was exceptional, both in size and facilities, breakfast was outstanding and advice on eating out was spot on. Will be back and will recommend to our friends and family.... More

Stayed with my parents last year and when needing a break from work this year my boyfriend begged me to book in with Christine and Richard! Very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly hosts, beautiful rooms with every neccessity to hand, perfect location for all the nearby attractions.... plus the most amazing breakfasts. Why would you go anywhere else?? More

We stayed three nights and everything was tip top. The welcome was wam and hospitality was unstinting. Our room was elegant and spotless. The shared lounge was stocked with up to date local information and maps - great as the area is fantastic for walking. On top of all that, the breakfast was fantastic!! Can't recommend enough. More

The breakfasts were beautifully cooked and we particularly enjoyed the platter... More

We had to cut short our stay because of family problems, but our hosts could not have been more understanding. While we were there we were superbly looked after. The room was lovely, the choice of food at breakfast was excellent, and we enjoyed the perfect short break. More

Spacious room and a warm welcome. The house is light and bright and spotlessley clean. We were welcomed with home baking in the guests lounge, which is large and comfortable. We only stayed one night after a disasterous days cycling (went through two inner tubes), the owners went out of their way to get us a new puncture repair kit... More

Our three night stay could not have been bettered. Christine and Richard are extrememely helpful and knowledgeable, helping to find places of interest and places to eat etc.Everywhere was spotlessly clean and modern, with a comfortable bed and super shower. Breakfasts offered much choice and were tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. More
