If you are going to the Burin Peninsula this is the place to stay. Ask for the room with the hot tub looking out on the bay. Hal and Elaine are wonderful hosts, the food is terrific and the Burin Harbor should be on everyone's list as a place to see. It is beautiful. More

The town of Burin is as picturesque as you will find in Newfoundland. The Wheelhouse Inn sits on a bit of a hill and the rooms face the inlet. We walked into our room and almost gasped. When we arrived at this delightful property, the owner ,Hal, was working outside on his car. He stopped to welcome us and then spent the next hour or so chatting with us, making us feel welcome and provided hot drinks and freshly cooked muffins.
