A lovely home from home, we spent a mid week break ((Mon-Fri) here. We all appreciated the location of this cottage, watching the boats and birds every morning through the lounge windows ( it was a bit too chilly to be outside!). The property was nicely furnished, clean and convenient. I appreciated being able to park the car some days... More

Many thanks for your review and we are delighted that you enjoyed your holiday and that you were able to take advantage of our 20% discount for 4 guests or less. As you say, the boat trips from How Hill are certainly worth taking and 'Bewilderwood' is great for the kids and is only about 10 minutes drive away from... More

We picked a week in which the weather threw everything at us! Solid rain for two days, then freezing cold, with frequent snow. The cottage though is warm, and watching the snow flakes falling over the river from the comfort of the sofa- was a lovely sight. Fishing outside on the decking is comfortable, but more than 1 person would... More

We're so glad you had a good time despite the weather and noticed from your comments in our visitor book that you caught a 20lb Pike during your stay! We look forward to welcoming you back again before too long when hopefully the weather will be kinder. After all, the Broads usually has the lowest rainfall in the UK! More

We spent a lovely week at Riverside Cottage and found it very comfortable and warm. We Especially liked having our own mooring and was able to hire a boat for 2 days and moor by the patio. It is very picturesque overlooking the river and full of activity.

We are delighted that you had a good time and had the chance to hire a day boat and moor it outside your cottage - it really is our favourite way to explore the Broads. More

Just back from a very relaxing week staying in Anchor Cottage which is comfortable and in an excellent position. Everything you need is 2 minutes walk away just over the bridge so you can park the car and not use it again all week. We spent two days on a boat exploring the broads which is a must, we also... Stayed with in a group of 7 here (sleeps 8) and also had friends next door in Riverside Cottage - well positioned for Wroxham, the train station and buses. Excellent view from patio of river and need to remember to feed the swans daily, or they will come and remind you! Unfortunately the ensuite shower had no power so we... More

Many thanks for your review and useful feedback. Glad you had a good time. Your comment about the pressure of the handheld shower attachment to the corner ensuite bath noted and we will look to see if the pressure can be increased - thanks for the feedback. As you say, the ceramic hobs and fan assisted electric ovens are all... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Anchor Cottage over Christmas 2011. The Cottage was spotless when we arrived and the owners had even put up a Christmas tree for us which made our kids really happy. The cottage was very well equipped and spacious. It is nicely decorated and a real home from home. The river is literally outside the... More

Riverside cottage was in a perfect location on the River Bure. We booked the cottage over the May Day Bank Holiday. There were 7 of us & our small Jack Russell. We were in Norfolk for the East Region swimming championships held at the UEA Norwich. We would normally stay in a Hotel needing at least 3 rooms. Booking Riverside... More

We stayed for a long weekend at Anchor Cottage. It was very clean and well equiped - even with wifi. Our 3 year old loved feeding the ducks from the decking and waving at the passing boats - it kept him amused for hours! We also enjoyed a glass of wine or two outside in the evening Its a fantastic... More

We have stayed in a number of places in Norfolk and Anchor Cottage is by far the best. The accommodation is situated right in the heart of Wroxham (actually on the waters edge) and as such in walking distance (5.minutes) of the shops and restaurants. The cottage itself is of a really high standard including modern amenities and wifi. It... More
