Had a wondeful stay at the Myoken. Authentic Japanese experience with Tatami rooms, yukata to wear and delicious Japanese meals. Lovely views along the river and two shrines to walk to, one each side of the river. Minami-San, the owner spoke enough English to help my basic Japanese and gave me all the info I needed for my day trips....
