The hotel is famous for its onsen, however I found the hotel shabby and unkempt. The staff were delightful and helpful but spoke no english. We communicated with sign language. We stayed for 3 nights over the New Year holiday. The hotel is located next to an easy ski slope and this is what initially attracted us.
However, I thoroughly reccommend this hotel for anyone who just wants to relax in a modern western hotel with marvellous Japanese hospitality.
