Have stayed here two times once with friends and once with wife and grown up daughters. Accomodation consists of hotel room block situated beside the Inn itself. Location is Cumbernauld and it sits right beside M8 allowing easy access into Glasgow Stirling and road to Edinburgh. Both stays were offers allowing 3 nights for the price of two and icluded... I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. The rooms are modern, spacious, clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. The bar and dining room are separate from the accommodation block but only a short walk. The bar has a fantastic atmosphere and the staff as friendly as only the Scots can be. There is a wide variety... More

On check in (in the restaurant), we found that the staff were pleasant. When entering the hotel itself, it is unclear that the key fob attached to the key ring with room key on it is required to open the front door, and this was not explained at check in. Overall, the rooms were clean and of an acceptable standard.... More

I'm not one who usually takes the time to write a review however I just had to in this case. I stayed overnight at the accommodation and found it comfortable, clean and really good value. The Red Deer was really welcoming after the long drive and the staff could not have done more to help when I accidently hurt my hand.... I would just like to take the time to comment on the quality of service both in the restaurant and in the travelodge. The rooms were of a good size and were extremely clean and well stocked of tea, coffee and toiletries. We also ate in the restaurant and the food was wholesome, excellent quality and the service first class!... More

Hotel rooms are decent, clean and well laid out. We used hotel as base for visiting Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling and Loch Lomond. Situated right beside A80 main road from Glasgow to Sterling it was handy for sight seeing. Bit too far out of Glasgow if your going for night life but excellent as base. Food in hotel was so good... Stayed at the Red Deer for just an overnight stay and I must say I have paid four times as much for much less. The rooms are spotlessly clean and there is plenty of room. I phoned ahead as I have a difficulty with stairs and the staff were only too happy to ensure a ground floor room. Talking of... More
