We just happened to stay this hotel as we were driving aimlessly from Tokyo bay to the Sea of Japan side... no booking was made in advance even though it was the middle of August, one of the busiest holiday season in Japan.
Maybe that was partly because Joetsu isn't particulary a nice tourist spot... but anyway... we had no...

Even though some of the staff spoke limited English, they were extremely helpful to us. There had been a mix up with Expedia, but before going I talked to Nozomi (who spoke very good English) and she made it easy.
When we were leaving, we had a problem in the nearby parking lot with the coin machine for paying. One...

Just a stone's throw from Takada train station. Hotel was very conveniently placed with helpful staff and a great Breakfast with a good selection of Japanese and Western food.
