We found the Schoolhouse on the recommendation of a fellow traveler. This is a quaint Inn with very clean and modern rooms. It is self catering with all equipment needed to make a great breakfast and a picnic lunch, which we did! Mary the owner was amazingly gracious and even though she did not want us to mention her name,... More

What a charming little b&b this is! I loved the self-service breakfast and well-stocked and appointed kitchen- how original to provide that for guests who need a change from eating out and want to make their own meals. There's also no lack of quiet and privacy. I had a beautiful large room that was pleasantly decorated with a comfortable bed,... More

The Schoolhouse is a terrific bed and breakfast. Very clean, newly renovated and comfortable with good beds. The breakfast selections changed each day and were expertly prepared. The kitchen was well appointed and stocked and this allowed us to comfortably prepare our own dinner one night which is not typical for a B & B. The owner, Mary, provided treats... More

This is a clean, quiet, and comfortable B&B without frills or pretentions. The rooms are well-sized and furnished simply. The beds are comfortable, and there are throw rugs on the floor. The front desk is in a tea room and staffed whenever the ever-friendly and helpful Mary is there. Breakfast is do it yourself with coffee, tea bags, milk, bread,... More

We stayed in a cosy room and had known thiswould be the case because of the kids but we were v pleasantly surprised. beds v comfy. and what a great concept with free run of the well stocked kitchen and supplies of choc cake from the adjoining tearoom! Great value compared to other prices we paid in the Highlands! More

We stayed at the Schoolhouse for 2 nights. It was a perfect location for our purpose with stunning scenery. There are only 4 bedrooms in the house and we had reserved 3 of them so it was very cosy. While there is no cooked breakfast provided the facilities are available for you to take care of this yourself, there is... More

We loved it here. High standard of finish, comfy and big bed, wifi and baked goods free from the cafe!! (We took our scones home.) Being able to do your own breakfast was just the best thing - so much more civilised than being waited on, and the kitchen was very well appointed. More B&Bs should be like this. It... More

After a 12 hour drive the last thing I needed was a list of 'do's and don'ts ' and an intimidating host. And that is exactly what we did not get. Our room was very comfortable, the bathroom had a shower that must be nuclear powered. It made little holes in my head. A very relaxing garden was a perfect... More

We had a delightful stay at The Schoolhouse. Ample parking, spacious room with private ensuite bathroom. Huge shared kitchen which allowed me to cook-up a mighty Scottish breakfast for our last day. The best feature? Has to be the enormously comfy bed that presented itself to us and after a nippy day's adventures it was most welcome. More

The Old Schoolhouse is a really lovely place to stay to explore The Isle of Skye plus only walking distance to the magnificent Eilean Donan Castle- which were both far more impressive than i could imagine. Excellent quality accomodation, with a great communal kitchen; fantastic muffins & fresh coffee (as well as toast jam etc) provided for breakfast. The rooms... More
