The jungle view homestay provides exactly that - a jungle on your doorstep which is quite amazing to open your door to. It is a fantastic hidden gem that we were very sad to leave. My husband and I booked this homestay on the strength of the reviews on Trip Advisor and we weren't disappointed! The rooms are basic but in line with the price. we had a great time at jungle view, we really enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace looking at the jungle and its inhabitants. the owner is very nice and welcoming and his wife cooks excellent keralan food. we took all our breakfasts and diners there and were served different dishes every night. would definitely stay there again. very good value... more

Excellent homestay with spacious balcony overlooking the forest. We enjoyed watching the black monkeys from right outside our room and enjoyed the serenity of the place. Ramachandran's son also took us on a trek through the jungle behind the property. The family was extremely hospitable and helped arrange our visits around Periyar and the town. Lovely homestay .Very nice veranda, upstairs room, big bedroom and hot shower (only cold downstairs). Rainforest about 10 feet from veranda. Saw giant squirrel, macaques and black monkeys (black langours). Cicadas in evening, very relaxing.
