Patrick and Linda are the new owners of The Durant Arms and the food has remained to it's excellent standard as always. Always friendly, fun and cheery, the Durant Arms has a special energy about it which makes it a wonderful treat for a local like myself to take the family there for lunch occasionally. We have not stayed there... More

Once again well up to expectations. We stayed in the "Linney", set back from the main building, almost a cottage on its own.A very comfortable bed and lovely en suite with a corner bath. The offer of three nights for the price of two( £82.00 per night B&B) is great value. We also discovered, too late, that a packed lunch is... More

We could not have had a warmer welcome. In spite of being in the middle of a function Patrick took time to greet us, show us to our room and explain the need to keep our keys with us. Our first night was a "Special Roast" which was excellant. The full menu gives a wide choice and the food is... More

My brother and I spent 4 nights here at the end of September, what a lovely place to stay in a quaint little village and lovely accommodation. Patrick and Linda could not do enough for us and nothing was to much trouble, after being shown to our rooms we had a drink in the bar then had a nice walk... More

Stayed in August and notwithstanding a minor problem of being locked out at night (should have taken room key with us) we had a really nice stay. Staff try very hard to please and accomodate. Rooms are quaint as you would expect in this type hotel. Bathroom and bedroom spotless. Country location is terrific. Can only concurr with the other... More

What a find! The location was fantastic. The welcome very warm as if we were old friends. The room was perfect overlooking the main square. The food was first class. The choice of wine.... I could go on but we have travelled and stayed in many places in this country and abroad and I can say that the Durant Arms... More

We stayed here for three nights this week, and have to say that not only can we recommend the inn but we intend to return for another visit as soon as we can. A really attractive village with this delightful inn at its centre. The owners were so helpful and friendly that it was a real pleasure to be there,... More

We have been coming for short breaks to the Durant Arms, on and off for about 8 years. It is the perfect location ina small vilage, just 3 miles or so outside Totnes. Great for walking, touring, cycling. Sharpham Estate (vinyard and cheesery) is just 1 mile down the road. Great place to walk to. Hotel itself has 7 comfortable,... More

Just returned from a long enjoyable trip through Scotland and England and stayed at many an Inn and hotel. Without doubt we enjoyed our stay at this hotel the most due to the friendly warm reception of the owners Michael, Patrick and Lyn and the staff , and the first rate food and accomodation which had a magic of it's...
