We paid 200 baht for a fan room. It turned out to have a shared bathroom and shower but we didnt mind for the price. The room was on the 4th floor (lots of stairs) and the room had an oscillating fan but no windows or ventilation. We slept fine, though definitely without covers. The noise from the shower area... We stayed here for one night before crossing to Laos the next day. It is very clean, nice spacious rooms and bathrooms. We had a nice view of the Mekong river from our room although i think there are only a few rooms with a view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Internet worked fine. Good location on the main road... Booked direct through email. Prompt & courteous replies. Our 3 aircond rooms at @$20 each were fine as we were just after a room for the night en route from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang. Location was great, block behind took us to the river where there were many eateries and lots of local activity. Down the main street there... More

Clean, quiet hotel in the heart of the action in Chiang Kong. Stayed here prior to visiting Lao and the staff was most pleasant and helpful. The manager, upon learning that I couldn't find duct tape in the local stores, brought a roll from home for me to use. I nearly blew the hotel up plugging a 110V surge protector... More

Nice, clean room with large bathroom About a 3 minute tuk tuk journey from the bus station the guesthouse is located on the main road through Chiang Khong. The rooms are located up 2 or 3 flights of stairs and there is no lift. Our room, and I think all of the rooms, face the road and as such are... More

Decided to stay in this one, after looking at some rooms in other hotels on the main street of chiang khon. This hotel offers spacious rooms, with good comfortable beds, good ac and tv, bathroom with shower that has its own space (not right above toilet),... We slept here for one night, coming from chiang rai, and planning on crossing... More

This guest house is a good find for the money. Our double room was a good size and and bed had lovely sheets. The room had a bit of a view to the river and the TV reception was good. Good wifi and there is a fridge and plenty of hot water. For a one night stay before crossing the... More

I stayed here 1 night coming from Pai by public bus before crossing into Laos by slowboat. It is a very nice place to stay for the night. I would say it is about a 5-10 minute walk from the busstation or a 20-30 baht tuk tuk drive. I paid 500 baht for a 'single' room, which was on the... More

We had booked Green Inn earlier and was glad to see that it looks as good as how its been advertised on the net. The hotel is centrally located right smack in the middle of Chiang Khong town with all the shops, 7-11 just around the corner. We took the double bed wt air-con, paying 600Bht which is still relatively... More

After being dropped off in the middle of nowhere in Chiang Khong on a local bus, we decided to walk our way towards the Thai / Laos border in search of our guesthouse. We came across "Green Inn Resident", checked out a room and stayed the night. This hotel has 2 options for rooms. Basic twin or double or deluxe... More
