We booked to stay in 'Duke' for 3 nights for part of our honeymoon, we wanted something a bit different but also weather-proof and with a bit more luxury than camping! Duke was amazing and this was one of the best, most lovely places we've ever stayed. We actually had really good weather, so days were spent sunbathing and watching... More

The stay as the Duke has ruined all other inns and b&b's for me. It will be the base for all my future comparisons and it has set the bar very high. Our romantic three night stay was the best holiday i've had in england hands down. i'd highly recommend the duke... but i want it all to myself!!! More

We stayed in the new Hercules wagon. It's set in it's own little wooded area (with fire pit) so very private. The inside is a really clever mix of brand new (great shower) and fantastic reclaimed fittings - an old railway carriage door on the bathroom, an English Rose kitchen and cinema seats at the table. You get the feel... More

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights with our dog Darcy. We stayed in the Maiden Ale Wagon and Wisteria Cottage. We were met by the owners and then left to our own devices for the rest of our stay. The cottage and bedroom are lovingly decorated and stocked with all the kitchen equipment you will ever need.... We wanted something a bit different for our honeymoon. And in the shape of Duke we certainly did! Weather was 'fun' to say the least... the wind rocked us around, the hailstones and rain pounded down... so we thought the best thing to do was light the fire and crack open a bottle of wine. And there could be no... More

We really enjoyed our time at Pip. The cabin is really well equipped (particularly for cooking) and was a cosy, quirky little haven. The log fire was great in the evening and yet there was plenty of outside space to enjoy the sunshine during the day. We stayed for 3 nights which was perfect for us as we were travelling... More

I should point out that I hate caravaning or camping type holidays. But loved our long weekend in 'Duke' it was quiet, peaceful and very relaxing. Our two dogs absolutely loved it and were soo chilled out I have never known them so subdued. Duke was lovely, quirky and charming. Our friends stayed in Pip and Pip which was equally... More

We stayed in' Pip' and 'Pips Cabin'....it was absolutely delightful!!! Pips cabin is so very clean and tastefully decorated with real log burner, grandfather clock, fantastic rain shower....Pip is an old roller cabin, appx 30ft down the garden... with a very comfty bed (if not a little high off the ground for a 5ft 3'' lady!). We had wine, tea,... More

Our own private 1/5 acre location with a remarkable restored 1940's showman wagon named the "Duke" to call home. The Duke did not have bathroom facilities so built just behind was a separate structure that is a toughly modern spacious bathroom that rivaled most bathrooms in homes where we have stayed with its huge shower and great water pressure. The... More
