I found this place quite royal, it more like a heritage hotel in the sands. Pokaran is a small town while on your way to Jaisalmer and this is a good place to take a night halt. I stayed there for 3 nights and 4 days in one of their top rooms. The staff is very polite and courteous. Infact...

This is quite a special place. It is the old fort of Pokaran, where people visit the museum and holy shrines on a day visit. But when night falls the fort is yours. It has beautifully restored rooms, our royal suite was very big and extraordinary well designed. The hotel is managed by a government organization and you can sense...

Historic design interesting and rooms, food and service perfectly satisfactory for the money. Beds pretty hard and rooms a little cold.

An ancient Indian Fort undergoing restoration but still beautifully ancient.. We got the impression that this is largely used by coach tours stopping for lunch but we were the only ones stayiing the night as it is too small for large numbers. So we had it to ourselves and it was wonderful. We had a suite at the top of...

The more expensive rooms are an oriental dream. You can feel like a Maharaja for a night! You can walk the walls of the fort and there is a nice pool. The downside was the food. Dinner was overpriced and bland. Breakfast was pathetic. The bed was too hard and too small to our taste but it seems to be...

This is a beautiful, partly restored redstone Fort with a range of very good accommodation which, we were told whilst there, is occupied spasmodically and then with only 3 or 4 rooms maximum. The majority of business comes from providing lunch for tour groups travelling to/from Jaisalmer. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment including a new dining room but this work...

rooms spacious, very tastefully furnished with huge bathroom well equipped.
Dining room almost too big, fixed menu of good qualitiy. Very friendly owner-couple and stuff. Interesting museum, doll collection, wall of the fort accessible with great views.
