Almost a block long is a mural called "Carnaval," a painting that depicts the annual Carnaval celebration with roots in Latin America and the Caribbean. Visitors can find this impressive work on Harrison Street at 19th. The mural was created in 1994 by Joshua Sarantitis, Emmanuel Montoya, Carlos Loarca and other unnamed artists.

Siblings Danielle and Luke Teller helm the well-edited Afterlife Boutique, which carries reconstructed antique jewelry by the shop's Adoura Demode line and collectible rock-concert T-shirts priced from $45 to $1,000.
