The area is one of the sites on the Golden Pipeline Heritage Trail, a drive trail between Mundaring Weir in Perth and Mt Charlotte in Kalgoorlie developed by the National Trust of Australia (WA). The long trail is 2.5km and takes walkers past some remarkable engineering structures built to capture water runoff from a huge granite outcrop - Karalee Rocks. The views from the top of the rocks are stunning and there are numerous interpretive panels along the trail to inform you of the incredible history of the area. The huge camping area can accommodate as many as 20 or 30 caravans and mobile homes.
